Homemade Rosewater

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup dried rose petals
  • witch hazel
  • distilled water

Equipment

  • pint size wide mouth mason jar
  • strainer
  • cheesecloth
  • glass mist spray bottle

Method
 

  1. Add the rose petals into the mason jar.
  2. Make a mixture that is 3/4 parts witch hazel and 1/4 part distilled water.
  3. Pour the mixture over the rose petals covering them completely with an additional 2-3 inches of liquid above the petals.
  4. Cover the jar and allow the mixture to sit for 2-3 in a dark area shaking every day.
  5. Strain the mixture using a strainer lined with cheesecloth and bottle for use.
