Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 5 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • ΒΌ cup white sugar
  • 1 cup water

Method

  1. Heat water on stove until boiling.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in white sugar until completely dissolved.
  3. Set aside and let cool before adding to a clean feeder.
  4. Store any extra nectar in the fridge for up to two weeks.

Notes

IMPORTANT:
  • DO NOT ADD ANY RED DYE TO THE NECTAR. RED DYE IS UNNECESSARY AND CAN BE HARMFUL TO THE BIRDS.
  • DO NOT SUBSTITUTE THE WHITE SUGAR FOR WITH ANY OTHER SWEETNER.
  • REPLACE WATER AND CLEAN FEEDER THOROUGHLY EVERY OTHER DAY TO INHIBIT DEADLY MOLD GROWTH.
