infused vinegar

Orange and rosemary make the perfect duo bringing a fresh citrus scent to this homemade infused vinegar.

Use infused vinegars in salad dressings, in marinades, as a topping for roasted veggies or add it to homemade cleaning sprays.

They also make beautiful, unique homemade gifts!

You can infuse vinegars with a variety of different herbs and foods.

We go through a lot of oranges in my house so I’m using up the peels in this recipe to make an orange and rosemary infused vinegar.

Here’s what you need:

  • Glass jar with lid (such as a mason jar)
  • Orange peels (sometimes other citrus peels get added in too)
  • Fresh rosemary

Here’s what you do:

  • Add citrus peels and a few fresh sprigs of rosemary to a mason jar.
  • Fill the jar with white vinegar and cover with a tight lid.
  • Store it in a cool, dark location to allow the peels and herbs to infuse the vinegar. (The longer you let it sit, the stronger the scent will be.)

Use as a natural cleaner

Once it’s ready, mix it with water 1:1 into a glass spray bottle and clean away!

Infused vinegar shelf life

Infused vinegars will stay good for up to 3 months in a cool, dark place.

Increase the shelf life by keeping it in the fridge for up to 8 months.
